Tony unwittingly tried Iyengar yoga at a festival in 2014. The focus of this style on alignment and precision was a big attraction for him, and so he found himself self-driven to continue. A few years later, the second bug bit in the form of Mysore-style Ashtanga yoga and Tony gradually progressed to a 6-day-a-week practice. Both Iyengar and Ashtanga are considered traditional styles of yoga, and hence only make use of the Sanskrit names of poses or asanas. The freestyle of Iyengar complements the sequenced flow of Ashtanga, and he brings these qualities together in his teaching.
